When shopping for a new dirt bike, you would want the great quality but at a reasonable price point. That is what Apollo offers. But you may have heard that Apollo dirt bikes are Chinese. Are they truly made in China?
And does that matter?
Let’s ride together!
Are Apollo Dirt Bikes Chinese?
The simple answer is Yes! Apollo dirt bikes are Chinese or made in China! Zhejiang Apollo Sports Technology CO., LTD. is the company behind the Apollo brand.
Founded in 2003, Zhejiang Apollo Sports Technology CO., LTD. is a “research & development, manufacturing and sales of export-oriented enterprise, specializing in the production of off-road motorcycles, ATV, electric bicycles, E-scooters and other recreational vehicles.”
From a modest beginning in the city of Wuyi, China, the sports equipment manufacturer has now expanded to a large-scale industrial giant shipping products to far-flung corners of the world!
While it is true that products made in China often have a bad rap, every situation is unique. The Apollo brand has truly set itself apart as a world-class dirt bike manufacturer.
For example, in 2006, only 3 years after establishment, the respected Alibaba group awarded Zhejiang Apollo Sports Technology CO., LTD the “China Top Ten network operators”.
Interestingly, that was the same year that the Chinese brand established a U.S company- APOLLO MOTOR USA.
Other Chinese Dirt Bike Brands
Remarkably, there are other dirt bike brands that are made in China. I’ve highlighted some below.
- TAO.
- YCF.
- Coolster.
- Zongshen.
- Razor.
- GPX.
Some of these are household names, more credence to the fact that Chinese dirt brands are making waves.
Personally, I do not think the source (as long as everything in ethical) of an equipment matters that much. I only care about the value.
Summary
Apollo dirt bikes are indeed Chinese. They are made by Zhejiang Apollo Sports Technology CO., LTD, a company that started in Wuyi city in 2003.
